The local craftmen, past artisans maitre in the art to work mother-of-pearl and the hard hull of the coconut, will amaze you by their fertile imagination. Certain techniques allow now to cut the wood with big precision and so arise from jewels whim invisible before.

The pareos of Tahiti is for many in the myth of the vahine, beautiful and lascivious. And nowadays, of numerous vahine are still there pareo and are proud of it.
